In a big career achievement 12 students of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) get placement in Non-government organisation (NGO) Care India. CUSB Public Relation Officer (PRO) Md. Mudassir Alam, who is also the co-ordinator of Placement Cell said that Care India conducted a job placement camp at University’s Patna campus for recruiting the students as Block Development Manager (BDM) in various locations of Bihar. The students selected as BDM include Saima Tauheed, Shweta Surbhi, Ravi Prakash Gupta, Shivam Rastogi, Surjeet Goyal and Vijendra Dube, all for Mass Communication, five students from Environmental Sciences namely, Priyanka Kumari, Nitu Kumari, Anuksha, Ramanand and Faiz Siddiqui, and Arya Bharti from Development Studies.
After going through written test and interview, a total of twelve students qualified for the position including six girls and six boys. The selected students shall be given a monthly salary of Rs. 25,000/- along with PF, Medical Insurance and Accident Insurance, etc. The role of block development manager is to implement the projects of the NGO as well as continuous monitoring and evaluating the same. The placement camp was organised under the supervision of Mr. Sujeet Kumar, Assistant Professor and Placement Coordinator of Centre for Mass Communication and Media Studies. The students of Mass Communication, Development Studies,
Environmental Studies and Psychology programmes appeared in the placement activity. A six member team of Care India visited CUSB for holding the campus placement activity featuring Progamme Manager Jaimon Thomas and Dr. Ravindra Kumar Sharma, District level officer Swayam Prakash Pandey, Amarjeet Prabhakar, Shashi Ranjan and Anshu from HR department.
