The 21st century offers a plethora of opportunities, technological advancements and diverse challenges, simultaneously, silently perpetuating stress at every level from individual to societal. Health and well-being thus emerges as a significant phenomenon having profound impact on the productivity of individuals, organizations and societies. Described as the achievement and maintenance of physical fitness and mental stability, health and wellbeing is by and large the result of a combination of physical, social, intellectual and emotional factors that may change over time and vary between different cultures and life stages. Research, training and practice in health and wellbeing has received little attention from implementation point of view in less urban or/and rural sectors as well as the diverse heterogeneous communities/groups of India. Intervention of state and judiciary in the recent past has significantly introduced more attentive care to children and adolescents population in the preschool age and adolescents studying, preparing, and planning for a profession as per their aspiration accordingly. However, health and wellbeing in different culture and life stages yet warrants more exploration. Thus there is a need to review, share and plan research, training and practices in this area for comprehensive understanding in Indian context to fulfil the gap realized in this area.
