CUSB Media students get paid internship at NCRI
The media students of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has got summer internship opportunities in various media organisations in Patna and national capital Delhi. Two students of Centre for Mass Communication and Media (CMS) Aayush Anand and Vikas Kumar have got paid internship at the National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI), a unit of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
At NCRI, the interns were given with the duty to conduct PRA of the village assigned by their mentor and utilize it for the area of their internship. Interns are also required to document submissions, field visits and make open presentation at the end of the period to the other students in the Department/University. They will also have to prepare a final project report after the completion of the internship. To conduct the internship, interns will also be paid with a financial support of Rs. 10,000/-p.m. for a maximum period of two months by NCRI.
Head of the CMS, Dr. Atish Prashar is supervising the said project and he opined that this internship will add new horizon to the paradigm of Centre. I appreciate the project initiative of department’s Assistant Professor, Dr. Anindya Deb for grabbing this opportunity for the students. Our department is looking forward to work more extensively in similar projects related to rural development in collaboration with NCRI in the days to come, mentioned Dr. Prashar.
