CUSB Cadets won Awards in Kargil Vijay Diwas Competition organised by NCC27th Bihar Battalion
The cadets of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) performed very well and won many prizes including cash prize amounts in the special competitions organized by NCC 27th Bihar Battalion Gaya on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas week. The students participated in the competition under the guidance of University Assistant Professor and Associate Nodal Officer (ANO) of NCC Dr. Pragya Gupta. Kritika Singh won the Best Cadet Award of the year 2020 with a cash prize of Rs. 3000, while Hiya Mahabi was given Rs. 2500 for the second position and Sakshi Anand was given the Excellence Award with Rs. 2000 cash prize.
On the achievement of NCC cadets of CUSB, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Registrar Col Rajiv Kumar Singh and DSW Prof. Atish Parashar have praised the efficient guidance of Dr. Pragya Gupta and congratulated the students.
The event was organised through online mode in the presence of Col. M.K. Chouhan, Commanding Officer, 27 BR BN NCC by Gaya Group. The program began with the pledge taking ceremony followed by video narrations of Kargil diwas and appreciation clips about untold stories that were played to honour the Indian Defence Forces. Also, the cadets in the webinar were shown the videos on life of Captain Vikram Batra and other Param Veer Chakra Awardees.
After this presentation various competitions were organized in which CUSB cadets participated. In the poetry recitation competition, Kritika Singh of CUSB got the first position, while cadets Sakshi and Hiya Mahabi of CUSB got the second position as a tie in the quiz competition. The quiz competition was conducted by Cadet Kritika Singh of CUSB Gaya. Apart from this, Sakshi and Kritika Singh of CUSB also participated in Weekly Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp - Phase 8 organized under the aegis of Bihar-Jharkhand and Rajasthan Directorate. Sakshi performed the folk dance - Jhijhiya, while Kritika presented the folk songs of Sohar and Chhath representing Bihar. The cadets also represented the state of Bihar well by participating in programs like language learning, poetry readings and debates. In EBSB Camp Phase VII Sakshi Anand won 1st Prize in Speech Competition and in EBSB Camp Phase VI Kritika won 1st Prize in Poetry.
