Shubhra won the Video Competition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Shubhra Shukla won the video competition organized in the celebration of 75th anniversary of independence under the aegis of Red Ribbon Club (RRC) operated in Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). The Red Ribbon Club of CUSB had organized “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” video competition in collaboration with Bihar State AIDS Control Committee Patna. The short video competition was organized in the University under supervision of RCC Nodal Officer Dr. Prashant (Asst. Prof., EVS) in association with other members of the club, in which the students participated enthusiastically.

The theme of the video competition was HIV (AIDS) awareness. The short videos made on the theme of the competition were evaluated by Assistant Professors Dr. Amrita Srivastava, Dr. Digvijay Singh and Dr. Ravi Suryavanshi. In the competition, Shubhra Shukla, a student of Environmental Science stood first, Praveen Kumar, a student of Mass Communication, second place, while Siddharth Kumar of Hindi department and Yagfir Muntaha, a student of Environmental Science, stood jointly third. Brand ambassador student, post graduate Hindi department student Nitesh Kumar and BA-LLB student Krishnakant Kumar contributed significantly in making the competition a success.

Congratulating all the successful winners of this competition, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of CUSB, Professor Kameshwar Nath Singh, encouraged them to participate in this type of public awareness program. He said that theUniversity family is making an important contribution to the society through the programs organized under the Yuva Amrit Mahotsav.

Dr. Pashant further informed that the selected video has got entry in Gaya district level competition. Whereas, certificates will be given to all the participants involved in the competition and prizes and certificates to the winning participants will be given by Bihar State AIDS Control Committee, Patna. The main objective of this program is to spread awareness about the deadly disease AIDS among the general public. Dr. Prashant said that apart from video competition, many other programs related to HIV (AIDS) awareness like poster making and RRC talk will also be organized in due course of time.
