Swachhta hi Sewa campaign by 'Team Smile' of CUSB
As a part of the Swachhta hi Sewa campaign during September 15 – October 2, 2018, the student group of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) along with ‘Team Smile’ members visited nearby villages of Mehmadpur and Tekari. The students contributed in this campaign by cleanliness and awareness drive, requested and aware people to directly join the Swachh bharat Abhiyaan by shramdan during this 'cleanliness service'. The Swachhta Hi Seva campaign aimed at accelerating the jan andolan for realizing the dream of Clean India – Healthy India, further reinforcing the belief that ‘Sanitation is everyone’s business’ extended his heartfelt greetings to all the students who took part in the Service campaign; for their spirit and also expressed and hoped that this service should be done with selflessness and socially useful purpose.
Under Swachhta Hi Sewa Awareness campaign various activities performed in the village Mehmadpur scheduled like door-to-door awareness campaign, Shramdan for Swachhta, Wall paintings, speech on swachhta related theme to aware the villagers regarding cleanliness, explore and discuss various sanitation, health & hygiene issues, and to perform nukkad natak, street plays and folk songs based on cleanliness. During this awareness program, ‘Team Smile’ members organized hand wash program and distributed hand-wash soaps to village children further got tremendous support from Mehmadpur village community.
Team member Chandan painted wall of houses and walls in the villages on theme Cleanliness while another member Aman Sagar organized games for children while motivating them towards cleanliness. On this occasion team members Sachi, Prerna, Abhishek, Arun, Shashank, Ashraf, Pradeep, Avinash, Nitish, Dhaneshwar, Gaurang, Rahul, Pratush, Babu, Rikki, Aman, Badri Shankar and Ashutosh Kumar contributed actively.
