Dr. Singh’s project on Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors (DMS), Heusler alloy and Complex Oxides including Ferroelectrics and Ferromagnetic oxides culminated in another breakthrough for electronic and information technologies. Here, he investigates the electronic and magnetic properties of thin films and Nano powders using advance Synchrotron based X-ray techniques. Dr. Singh again used X-Ray and Neutron scattering, combined with other techniques (XRD, AFM, I-V, C-V and SQUID), to study these materials in thin films (surface and bulk) and nano powders form, where he demonstrates detailed behaviour of magnetic phenomenon. Dr. Singh’s work promotes research for dense data storage and represents an important breakthrough in spintronics.
