Independence Day celebrated amidst Covid-19 pandemic obeying Social Distancing
Pursuing good quality research with the motto to bring out exciting and useful results for the welfare of human beings is like a great service to the nation. Our University’s motto is academic excellence and developing a research-focussed favourable environment, and I feel that we are going in the right direction, by securing a prestigious place in ranking CUSB has proved its mettle. In the recent rankings issued by Ministry of Education, NIRF, Educational World Magazine we are best in Bihar and holding a respective rank among the Universities of India, which is quite exciting and satisfactory at the same time as our persistent efforts in Academia, is being paid off, said Prof. Harish Chandra Singh Rathore, Vice-Chancellor of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) in his Independence Day address on 15th August 2020.
In his speech the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor while specifically addressing the faculty members of the University urged from them to do more and more research work and praised the government’s efforts to promote research in higher education through the National Research Foundation (NRF) in the coming times. He called on all teachers to take a pledge on the special day of Independence Day to carry out quality research works that can be counted among the country’s leading universities.
He said that infrastructure and outside perception are also the components of University ranking, hence at the same time our focus is also on accelerating the second phase of construction that includes accommodation for staff and teachers inside the campus. In fact, the adequate accommodation facility within the campus would enable the faculty members and researchers to spend maximum time on research works with ease. He said that the University is resolved to create human resources contributing to the development of the country. India’s development is possible only through vision, philosophy and hardworking effort. So, keeping feeling of Indian paramount, such a human resource development is needed that will make the dream of independent India come true. The contributions of the University in this direction would be incomparable and praiseworthy. Appreciating all the university staff, the VC saluted the tireless efforts and resolve to make the campus green even amidst the fierce heat and the pandemic, said every little effort in the national interest should be appreciated.
On the occasion of 74th Independence Day of India the flag hoisting programme was conducted in the University premises following social distancing keeping in mind the Corona crisis. The programme started with hoisting of Indian tricolour by the Vice-Chancellor in presence of Registrar Col. Rajiv Kumar. Singh (Retd.), Finance Officer Mr. Girish Ranjan, DSW Prof. Atish Prashar, Proctor Prof. Kaushal Kishore, faculty members, officers, administrative staff and security personnel of the University.
Everything around us, and in fact, the whole universe is made up of just a few elementary particles, namely, fermions (leptons, and quarks) and bosons. Among these particles, quarks combine with each other to produce a myriad of composite particles called hadrons, which include well-known entities like protons and neutrons. To discuss the aspects of important particles and mysteries of University the Department of Physics of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) conducted a webinar under the special lecture series. The webinar was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Venktesh Singh, Dean, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences. The lecture was attended by more than 100 participants comprising of undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD students, faculty members and senior professors from all over India.
गुणवत्तापूर्ण शोध करना देशभक्ति है, सीयूएसबी कुलपति प्रोफेसर राठौर
आज जहाँ वैश्विक स्तर पर दुनिया के कई विकसित देश शोध की तरफ अग्रसर हैं और नए – नए अविष्कार हो रहे हैं ऐसे में भारत में भी गुणवत्तपूर्ण शोध की तरफ काफी रुझान है | ऐसे परिदृश्य में दक्षिण बिहार केन्द्रीय विश्वविद्यालय (सीयूएसबी) ने भी शोध की तरफ काफी मुस्तैदी से क़दम बढ़ाया है जो सराहनीय है | गुणवत्तापूर्ण एवं रिजल्ट ओरिएंटेड (उत्साहवर्धक परिणामों) से प्रेरित शोध कार्यों से ही विवि को हालिया रैंकिंगस में बिहार के प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त करने के साथ – साथ देशभर के सम्मानित विश्वविद्यालयों में सम्मानजनक रैंकिंग प्राप्त करने में सफलता हासिल की है | मैं तो ये मानता हूँ कि गुणवतापूर्ण शोध से उत्साहवर्धक परिणाम प्राप्त करना भी देशभक्ति है और इसके लिए मैं विवि के समस्त प्राध्यापकों एवं शोधार्थियों को बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ | ये अहम बातें सीयूएसबी के माननीय कुलपति प्रोफेसर हरिश्चंद्र सिंह राठौर ने विवि परिसर में आयोजित स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह के भाषण में कही | कोरोना संकट के बिच सोशल डिस्टेन्सिंग का पालन करते हुए विवि के प्रांगण में देश के 74 वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर झंडोतोलन का कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न हुआ। इस अवसर पर माननीय कुलपति के साथ कुलसचिव कर्नल राजीव कुमार सिंह, वित्ताधिकारी श्री गिरीश रंजन, डीएसडब्लू प्रोफेसर आतिश पराशर, प्रॉक्टर प्रोफेसर कौशल किशोर, विभिन्न संकाय के अधिष्ठाता, विभागअध्य्क्ष, अधिकारीगण, कर्मचारीगण एवं सुरक्षाकर्मी मौजूद थे |
झण्डोत्तोलन के बाद माननीय कुलपति ने विश्वविद्यालय के उपस्थिति लोगों को स्वंत्रता दिवस की बधाई दी। अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान छठी बार स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर विश्वविद्यालय के प्रांगण में झंडोतोलन के उपरांत प्रोफेसर राठौर ने विश्वविद्यालय के विकास में सभी के योगदान की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा सीयूएसबी देश के विकास में योगदान देने वाले मानव संसाधन को पैदा करने के लिए कृतसंकल्प है। भारत का विकास भारतीय दृष्टि, दर्शन और कर्मठ प्रयास से ही संभव है अतः भारतीयता को सर्वोपरि रखते हुए ऐसे मानव संसाधन के विकास की जरूरत है जो भारतीयता की बात करते हुए आत्मनिर्भर भारत का सपना साकार करे, दक्षिण बिहार केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय का योगदान इस दिशा में अतुलनीय होगा।
विश्वविद्यालय के सभी कर्मचारियों की सराहना करते हुए कुलपति ने भीषण गर्मी और महामारी के बीच भी कैंपस को हरा भरा बनाने के लिए उनके अथक प्रयास और संकल्प को नमन करते हुए कहा हर छोटे प्रयास को जो राष्ट्रहित में है उसे सराहा जाना चाहिए। विश्वविद्यालय के लगातार सुधरते रैंकिंग पर शिक्षकों का आह्वान करते हुए प्रो राठौर ने ज्यादा से ज्यादा शोध कार्य करने और करवाने को प्रेरित किया साथ ही आने वाले समय मे नेशनल रिसर्च फाउंडेशन के जरिये उच्च शिक्षा में शोध को बढ़ावा देने के सरकार के प्रयास की प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने सभी शिक्षकों को आह्वान करते हुए कहा कि आइये हम आज संकल्प लें कि अपने शोध कार्यों से विश्वविद्यालय को देश के अग्रणी विश्वविद्यालयों में शुमार करेंगे। कुलपति ने कहा जल्द ही विश्वविद्यालय के विकास कार्यों में और तेजी आएगी और जल्द ही कैंपस के अंदर कर्मचारियों और शिक्षकों के आवास की सुविधा होगी जिसके बाद शिक्षक ज्यादा से ज्यादा समय शोध कार्यों पर लगा सकेंगे।
