Pedagogy of social sciences, pedagogy of geography, curriculum and pedagogic studies; gender studies; comparative education; public policy in education etc.
Work experience: Dr. Samaresh Bharaty joined Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) in May 2020, as an Assistant Professor. Before joining CUSB, he has worked as an Assistant Professor in Department of Education (CIE), University of Delhi (2016-2020), in the Elementary Education Department in Miranda House, University of Delhi (2015-16) and in B.El.Ed. Department in Aditi Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi (2014-15). He Organized several IASE, MHRD funded Workshop On “Films as a pedagogical tool for social science teaching” in the Department of Education, University of Delhi. (In between 2016 and 2020). He has about six years of experience of teaching UG and PG courses and guiding research at various levels. He has participated in more than 15 International and National conferences and published more than 10 papers and articles in various International and National journals. He did his post-graduation in Geography. He completed B.Ed., M.Ed., and Ph.D. in Education from Department of Education (CIE), University of Delhi and qualified UGC-NET in three different discipline – Education, Geography and Women studies. He has awarded by Dr. (Ms.) A. Nanda Scholarship (2012) by University of Delhi. In addition to his teaching and research assignments, he has served in different institution in various capacities, worked as a resource person in developing School Curriculum for Jharkhand state with support from UNICEF, as a resource person in the process of review of curriculum of D.El.Ed by S.C.E.R.T. Patna , Bihar and as a resource person in the process of making of Study material of D.El.Ed by S.I.E.R.T. Udaipur, Rajasthan. He is Lifetime Member of Indian Association of Teacher Educators [IATE] and National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI) and CIE Alumni Association.
