Dr. Shakti P Pattanayak is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, CUSB, Gaya. Prior to joining to CUSB he worked in Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra as a permanent faculty for 13 years. He had worked as postdoctoral researcher at Institute of Drug Research, Faculty of Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel (a home University to Sir Albert Einstein) besides his scientific visit to San Francisco, California, USA. During his post doctoral research, he mostly worked on the mTOR (a serine/threonine kinase) signalling in PC differentiation and chronic inflammation (cancerous condition). He did his Ph.D. on Evaluation of anti-tumor potency on chemical-induced rat mammary carcinoma model and immunomodulatory activities of a hemiparasite. His Master degree in Pharmacology was also on the similar vicinity of mammary carcinogenesis. Besides this, he also worked on different aspects of pre-clinical pharmacology and new drug development from natural resources, which clearly defined from some of his published research papers of International repute with high impact factor & citation as well. He had worked with eminent scientists like Prof. Boaz Tirosh (mTOR Signaling), Dr. Galia Blum (Cathepsin B) and Dr. Michel Berger (FACS & Cell-sorting) (Lautenberg Center for Immunology and Cancer Research). He also received the PBC Award for Outstanding Post-Doctoral Researchers from China and India from Council for Higher Education of Israel. His ongoing research is related to targeted nano-delivery to advanced functional mammary and liver carcinogenesis. He has completed few sponsored projects received from UGC and AICTE as well. Under his mentorship most PhD scholars received few prestigious fellowships such as UGC-RGNF, UGC-BSR, ICMR, etc.
