2nd Faculty Induction Training Programme

Objectives of the Programme
The School of Education, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya is conducting second Faculty Induction Training Programme of thirty days duration under Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) Scheme of MHRD as per the recommendations of Group of Secretaries (GoS) on Education and Social Development, Govt. of India. The Programme is designed to train the newly inducted faculty members of Central and State funded Universities/ Institutions of Higher Education/ Colleges or similar kind of Institutions/ Departments as approved by UGC to familiarize them in their roles as freshly inducted faculty member. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has proposed this programme with a view to improve the quality of newly inducted faculty members in Higher Education Institutions. This programme is designed as a platform for them to interact with experts and share their day-to-day experiences on addressing various issues that they encounter in their setups. It will orient newly appointed faculty members on various generic aspects of teaching-learning, assessment and evaluation techniques and practices, instructional methodologies, ICT enabled teaching learning and equip them with knowledge of university rules and regulations and basics of governance and administration systems of universities and colleges.
The Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) is a central sector scheme with all India coverage. This Mission is envisaged to address comprehensively all issues related to teachers, teaching, teacher preparation and professional development. The Mission focuses the whole sector of education in a holistic manner without fragmenting the programmes based on levels and sectors as school education, higher education, technical education etc. It also emphasizes to bridge the gap between teachers and teacher educators.
School of Education, CUSB
Central University of South Bihar (Erstwhile Central University of Bihar) has been established in 2009 through the Act of Parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009. The School of Education of the University was established in 2013-14 by launching four-year integrated programmes in the two streams viz. B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. Further, to cater to the demand of quality teacher educators and researchers in the field of education, the school has started M.Ed. and Ph.D. (Education) programmes.
Centres of PMMMNMTT Scheme at School of Education, CUSB
School of Education, CUSB is running two centres (Centre for Learning and Pedagogic Studies and Centre for Assessment and Evaluation) under the scheme of PMMMNMTT since September, 2016. School of Education has been conducting number of programmes/activities under these two centres since their inception.
