Webinar on Cyber Security: Threat and Prevention
The Cyber Cell, School of Law and Governance in association with ICT Central University of South Bihar has organized an Online National Workshop on 20th September, 2021 (Monday) on the theme “Cyber Security: Threat and Prevention” under the able leadership of Honourable Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh (Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, CUSB, Gaya), Prof. (Dr.) Pawan Kumar Mishra (Head and Dean, School of Law and Governance, CUSB) and Dr. Pallavi Singh, Faculty Coordinator, Cyber Cell.
Dr. Pallavi Singh, Faculty Coordinator, Cyber Cell, (Assistant Professor, SLG, CUSB) wholeheartedly welcomed the renowned speakers namely (i) Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Director, CIS, JNU New Delhi (ii) Mr. Navneeth Nadar, Lead Pre- Sales (Quick Heal) Cyber Security Software Company (iii) Mr. Akhilesh Kr. Singh AVP-In US Bank and (iv) Ms. Pooja Rani SBI Branch Manager, CUSB Campus (v) Mr. Ashok Kr. Singh System Analyst, CUSB. She introduced the theme “Cyber Security: Threat and Prevention” in context of recent technological advancement and emphasized over necessity of basic knowledge and awareness to the internet users where confidential information is being accessed over the internet. Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Mishra (Head and Dean, SLG, CUSB) wholeheartedly thanked Honourable Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh (Hon'ble V.C, CUSB) for his valuable presence and enthusiastically welcomed all the renowned speakers. He mentioned digitalization connecting whole world as one family and its benefit in society, health sector, educational sector, democratic system, and community as a whole. He added that the School of Law & Governance, CUSB, along with Cyber Cell, CUSB will certainly work through different upcoming programs for spreading awareness towards threats and preventive measures in cyber security. Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh (Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, CUSB, Gaya) congratulated Dr. Pallavi Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Pawan Kumar Mishra, University Computer Centre, renowned speakers and faculties, SLG, CUSB for organizing this program. He appreciated the role of Cyber cell and School of Law & Governance for its effort to create awareness in the field of cyber security and wished positive outcome of the event.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar discussed the power, benefits and loopholes in the digital world with emerging technologies and three basic pillars of Cyber Security i.e. Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability. He discussed the necessity of technical knowledge, user education, challenges, and recent protective developments. Mr. Navneeth Nadar, discussed importance and functioning of Endpoint Security in devices like Laptop, Mobiles etc. He discussed the challenges in protection of data leak and internet threats within organization and from attacks like ransomware or malware like Virus, Botnet, Rogueware, Trojan. He added the importance of antivirus assistance towards protection from cyber threats, security management.
Mr. Akhilesh Kr. Singh talked about Banking threats and its protection from different kinds of Malware and ransomware. He discussed small details that provide the secure channel for financial transactions and suggested to attentively involve in financial transactions. Mr. Ashok Kr. Singh discussed how Firewall, endpoint security and other preventive measures are being taken within campus, in functioning, data sharing within different schools with faculties, and students.
