CUSB student Ms. Preeti Dubey felicitated at IAPT Convention in Gandhinagar
Ms. Preeti Dubey, a student of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) was felicitated at IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) Convention in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on October 20, 2016. A student of B.Sc. B.Ed. (third semester), Ms. Dubey was honoured for securing second position in prestigious National Competition on Essay Writing in Physics (NCEWP-2016) organized by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). Prof. S.K. Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur given the prize to Ms. Dubey, carrying prize money of Rs. 3000 along with a CD containing two books and a certificate. Ms. Dubey was accompanied by her parents and her teacher and guide from CUSB Dr. Susanta Das, assistant professor of Physics.
Providing more information about the competition, Dr. Das said that in the month of June2016, Ms. Dubey participated in Category A (Students) with her essay on the topic "Resonance phenomena - Physics and applications". The competition was open for the students studying in colleges, universities and other educational institutions offering higher studies. The result of the competition was declared in the month of September, and Ms. Dubey’s essay was judged as the 2nd best in the category. She was invited to attend the IAPT Annual Convention held during 20-22nd October 2016 in Gandhinagar (Gujarat) for receiving the prize.
