CUSB organised 1st Intra-Moot Court Competition
School of Law and Governance of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) organized the 1st Intra-Moot Court Competition as a part of fortnight celebration of “Rule of Law”. The moot proposition was prepared by Dr. Digvijay Singh (Co-ordinator, Moot Court Society) and a total of 14 teams participated in the competition. The thematic issue covered in the proposition was based on Constitutional Law and Information Technology Law. The final round of competition was held between Team J (Ms. Ragini Kumari, Mr. Vishal Kr. Singh & Mr. Himanshu Sekhar) & Team M (Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Mr. Anjani Kumar, & Mr. Vivek Kumar) in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Srivastava (Head and Dean). Team J was declared winner and Team M was declared runner-up. Best speaker award was given to Mr. Vishal Kr. Singh (Team J) and best memorial award was given to Team M. Preliminary round of competition was judged by Advocate Shantanu Kumar and Advocate Nirbhay Prashant (Patna High Court).
Final round of competition was judged by Mr. P.K. Sinha, Additional Solicitor General of Jharkhand High Court. Hon’ble judge appreciated the quality of the arguments advanced by the various mooters and also satisfied with the quality of memorial. He categorically remarked that the procedural knowledge of the participants is par excellent. Student convener Mr. Abhishek Bhardwaj with his team including Mr. Shubham Anand, Mr. Sumit Mishra, and Ms. Binny Kumari etc. effectively managed functioning of the courts.
