Facets of life portrayed in MobiClick Exhibition at CUSB


The Centre for Mass Communication and Media of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) organised the first ever mobile photo exhibition named as “Mobiclick”, on the eve of World Photography Day falling on 19th August 2017. The exhibition organised at university’s Patna campus received applauding response from the visitors comprised of University faculty members, officers, staff, students and outsiders. The chief guest for the event was Mr. Prashant Ravi, a Patna based freelance photo journalist, while the guest of honour was Professor R.S. Rathore, Dean, School of Earth, Biological and environmental sciences).  The event started with the felicitation of guests with flower bouquets followed by lightening of lamp. Further, the chief guest unveiled the  logo especially crafted for the exhibition. The photos exhibited were based on different themes of environmental and social importance such as poverty, dying nature; intoxication etc. Students exhibited these photos under the guidance of Dr. Ravi Suryavansi, Assistant professor, CMS.

In his presidential address, Mr. Prashant Ravi appreciated the efforts of the students and facilitators at the media department. “These activities help the much needed overall development of the students. It is a matter of great pleasure that the students are learning to work professionally.” Along with appreciation he also gave many valuable suggestions to the students so that they could further enhance their photography skills. He also shared his field experiences with the students and made them aware of the difficulties they could face in the profession. Mr. Prashant Ravi also explained students the ethical norms they should follow while capturing a photograph.

“The efforts put in by the students here under the able guidance of facilitators were reflected in the exhibition. These photographs clicked by the students were outcomes of the quality education being imparted at CUSB”, said Professor R.S. Rathore, speaking on the occasion.

Dr Atish Prashar, Head, CMS offered the vote of thanks. He thanked Mr. Prashant Ravi for his arrival despite his busy schedule. He also appreciated students of media department for their efforts.  On this occasion the CUSB faculty members were Dr. Sujeet Kumar, Dr Anindya Deb, Dr. Kinshuk Pathak, Dr. Rizwanul Haque, Dr. Pradhan Parth Sarth, Dr. Ram Kumar, Dr Prashant Kumar among others.
