He handled the core teaching on issues of classical sociological theory as well as offered courses on Education and Society, State and Marginalized Communities and Sociology of Ageing. Holding a post graduate degree in Sociology from Centre for the Study of Social System at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and M.Phil in Sociology from the Department of Sociology at Hyderabad Central University (HCU), Hyderabad, Kabeer is a doctoral candidate at Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies, JNU, New Delhi.
