M.Sc. Computer Science
Objectives of the Program:
The two-year (four semesters) Post Graduate programme lays emphasis on the theoretical concepts as well as on practical experience and industry interaction. The exercises/assignments/projects given to them help the students to become an independent quality professional and researcher. The programme has the following salient features:
-
- Designed to take students through rigorous ground-work for taking up research or coming out industry ready.
- Sound foundation in the fundamentals of Computing, Mathematical and Statistical sciences.
- Ample technology orientation via laboratory-intensive courses.
- Rich (open) elective course basket providing plenty of space for interdisciplinarity required by several emerging areas.
- To design and develop various AI based applications.
Program Outcomes:
-
- Students would become familiar with recent developments in areas of artificial intelligence.
- After completing the programme, the students would become confident in taking challenging projects independently and as a team member.
- They would be familiar with recent technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Speech Processing and Recognition, computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning.
Eligibility:
Bachelor's Degree from any recognised University in Science (CS/IT/Electronics with Mathematics) / BCA with a minimum of 55% marks for General /OBC candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST / PWD candidates and having Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.

M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence
Introduction:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an emerging field of computer science that aims to build intelligent machines or computers. The proposed programme aims at providing opportunities for global excellence and local relevance in research, teaching and technology development for the students. The main problems of artificial intelligence are Knowledge Representation, Reasoning, Problem-solving, Perception, Learning and Planning. AI based technology and applications are evolving very rapidly and its demand is increasing day by day. Therefore, there is need to prepare students for developing AI systems.
Objectives of the Program:
-
- The two-year proposed programme will provide deep knowledge of both fundamental AI technologies and advanced application based AI technologies.
- The programme will focuses on the theoretical concepts as well as on practical experience and industry interaction.
- The proposed programme will prepare students to undertake careers in industry as well as academia
- The exercises/assignments/projects given to them will help the students to become an independent quality professional and researcher
Program Outcomes:
-
- After completing the programme, the students would become confident in taking challenging projects independently and as a team member.
- They would be familiar with recent technologies such as machine learning, big data, object-oriented programming.
- Students would become familiar with recent developments in different domains in computer science.
