The Department of Pharmacy under the School of Health Science is one among various new department which were established in year 2020 by the University to promote pharmaceutical education and research. The department offers master (M. Pharm) and doctorate degree (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Department believes in multi-disciplinary approach of learning and fosters a culture of excellence in research. Presently department is offering specialization in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. The Department of Pharmacy has state of the art laboratories with various sophisticated instruments at Central Instrument Facilities. All the faculties of Pharmacy departments are well trained and experienced from the premier Institutions of India and abroad. Teachers of departments are actively engaged in knowledge creation and dissemination at the frontiers of the Pharmaceutical Sciences. The faculty members have expertise in the fields of Natural Products, Novel Drug Delivery System (Nano-formulations), Molecular Pharmacology, Cellular Signalling, Immunology, Cancer Chemotherapy, aging and Computer Aided Drug Design which are vital for drug discovery. To make the Department more focused in research and innovation, Department is presently actively engaged in thrust areas of pharmaceutical sciences such as New drug discovery & Nano-based targeted drug delivery for Cancer Therapy, screening of potential drug molecule against cancer and aging.
