Central University of South Bihar is a fully funded University by Central Grant. The campus of CUSB has attracted students from all over the world because of rich heritage of place i.e., Buddha’s enlightened place and other congenial and inspiring environment of which following are notable. The sailent features of the CUSB are:
- CUSB lies in the ancient Magadha Plain of India with rich culture and Indian values. CUSB has ecofriendly campus and is very beautiful with lots of greenery inside and outside the campus. The University lies in Buddhist circuit where Lord Buddha was enlightened about 2600 years back.
- CUSB has good connectivity and accessibility. It is located 15 kms away from Gaya railway station and 40 kms away from Gaya International Airport.
- There is a special cell for assistance of foreign students which is fully dedicated to solve problem and mission of foreign students.
- Every year a number of foreign students are admitted to the various academics’ programmes of CUSB under self-financing or through sponsoring / funding agency by Govt. of India. The foreign national students are exempted to appear in entrance exam of (CUET) for admission. However, they should have minimum eligibility criteria for the admission as prescribed in the prospectus of CUSB.
- The Graduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. Programs of the university in various disciplines have been crafted with a view to cater to the needs of Indian and Foreign students. The university has a world level curriculum that had been designed with the perspective that is needed for 21st
- CUSB has developed a well-equipped Central Library to cater to the information requirements of students and faculty for their academic accomplishments. The library has built a collection of more than 31,000 books to support academic curricula, teaching and research in various science and social science subjects. The library subscribes to 108 quality print journals and magazines of renowned publishers from across the world and more than 8,000 online journals.
- Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) has been set-up despite of the fact that every department has well developed laboratory. The aim of CIF is to provide a central facility consisting of the latest and advanced analytical Instruments to facilitate multidisciplinary research and to cater to the needs of academic research institutes, universities, and industries for high-end material. This facility is open to all the researchers from universities, academic institutes, national research institutes, private institutes, and industries.
- There is Memorandum of Understanding between CUSB and International University such as Aston University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. As per the MoU, both the CUSB and Aston University collaborated on the development of Aston Medical School at Aston with major areas of research to be covered under the agreement are Stem Cell therapy, Drug Designing therapy, Mental health, etc. That is the reason sizeable number of students used to apply in CUSB and get admission in number of different courses.
- The courses are detailed in such a way that it will provide ample exposure to the students in pursuit of their career in the field of academics, journalism, administrative services, social work, research organizations, think-tanks, organizations involved in policy-making and policy analysis, national and international non-governmental organizations, and international organizations like United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund etc.
- The university has crafted a teaching-learning methodology which has a strong interface with cutting-edge technology at global level with innovative Continuous Assessment System where Evaluation is also a part of teaching-learning methodology itself in each of the courses.
- The University has internationally acclaimed group of faculty members in various programmes including science and humanities with several years of experience across the world.

Fees for Foreign Nationals
Fees structure applicable for different categories of the FNs is given below. Any kind of ‘Fee’ or Charges’ (in US Dollars or equivalent Indian Currency) are to be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “ The Registrar, Central University of South Bihar” payable at Gaya or any other mode as decided by the University, from time to time. The quantum of any type of fee may be modified by the CUSB from time to time.
