Orientation and Sensitization on National Education Policy 2020
The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Center at Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) proudly announces the successful completion of an eight-day online training program titled "Orientation and Sensitization on National Education Policy 2020." This initiative is part of CUSB’s ongoing commitment to contributing to the "Viksit Bharat" vision by 2047.
The program was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of CUSB, Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, on August 20, 2024. In his inaugural address, Prof. Singh emphasized the importance of sensitizing academia to the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, viewing it as a vital step toward the nation’s long-term developmental goals. Conducted under the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMT-PP) scheme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the program ran from August 20 to August 28, 2024. It garnered enthusiastic participation from 86 teachers and researchers representing Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) and organizations across 11 states. This effort reflects CUSB's dedication to advancing educational reform and fostering a culture of excellence in alignment with national priorities.
On the final day, Prof. Tej Pratap Singh, Coordinator at CSSEIP and Faculty of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, delivered a compelling keynote address on "Globalization and Internationalization of Higher Education." His presentation explored critical topics such as globalization, digitization, the role of NEP in internationalization, and the increasing presence of international students in India, alongside the frameworks that support these trends.
The valedictory session featured Prof. Kshiti Bhushan Das, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jharkhand, as the chief guest. The session began with the University Kulgeet, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Prabhat Ranjan, Head of the Department of Computer Science. Dr. Tarun Kumar Tyagi, Chairman of MMTTC at CUSB, then presented a comprehensive report on the program. In his keynote address, Prof. Das highlighted the importance of positioning India as a hub for global brands across various sectors and stressed the crucial role teachers play in inspiring students to achieve this vision. Participants shared positive feedback on the program, expressing their appreciation for the valuable insights and enriching experience.
The event concluded with a closing address by Prof. Narendra Kumar Rana, Registrar of CUSB, followed by a formal vote of thanks from Dr. Nemi Chandra Rathore. The ceremony ended on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem.
