Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of South Bihar, launched the inaugural issue of "The Weekly Verdict," a newsletter curated by the university's Legal Aid Clinic on January 15, 2025. This initiative seeks to offer students and the wider community timely updates on legal developments, key cases, and socially relevant issues. At the launch, Hon. Vice-Chancellor emphasized the significance of legal awareness and urged students to actively engage with the newsletter to deepen their understanding of law and justice. He expressed his belief that this initiative would not only reinforce the university's commitment to legal education but also align with its motto of "Campus to Community. Furthermore, he congratulated the entire team of the Legal Aid Clinic for leading this initiative.
Prof. Sanjay Shrivastava, Head of the Department of Law, also expressed his support for the initiative, emphasizing the crucial role of such platforms in fostering legal literacy among students and the wider community. Prof. Shrivastava encouraged students to actively engage with "The Weekly Verdict," as it provides a valuable opportunity to stay informed about ongoing legal developments and gain insights into pressing social issues. He also praised the team behind the publication for their dedication and initiative in launching this newsletter.
The Faculty Coordinator of the Legal Aid Clinic, Prof. Surendra Kumar, highlighted the importance of 'The Weekly Verdict' in raising legal awareness. He explained that the newsletter would cover current legal developments, landmark cases, and social issues, aiming to enhance legal knowledge and bridge the gap between theory and practice. He also extended special thanks to Kumari Sugandha and Suyash Vishwakarma, Coordinators of the Publication Committee, as well as Pranav, Sarvagya, Utsav, and Vaishnavi for their contributions.
