School of Education displayed a brilliant game and won the winning trophy in the Inter School Cricket Tournament 2024-25 organized by the Sports and Games Committee of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, as the chief guest, congratulated and wished the winner and runner-up teams in the prize distribution ceremony organized at the Milkha Singh Sports Complex of CUSB. In his presidential address, the Vice Chancellor reiterated the slogan given by the Prime Minister "Fitness Ka Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz" and emphasized the need to give priority to sports in the university. Also, he encouraged the girl students to participate more in sports. He praised the members of the Sports and Games Committee for the excellent organization of the tournament.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mohammad Mudassir Alam said that the final match was played between the School of Education and the School of Law and Governance. Organizing Secretary Dr. Jitendra Pratap Singh, Dr. Kishore Kumar, Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Prof. It was organized under the supervision of Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Surendra Kumar and Dr. Pallavi Singh. The School of Education team played under the leadership of Captain Vikas Yadav and the School of Law and Governance team played under the leadership of Captain Ashish Kumar. After winning the toss, the School of Education decided to bat first and scored a huge score of 173 runs in the stipulated 15 overs. In reply, the School of Law and Governance team could score only 103 runs while chasing the target and lost by 70 runs and got the title of runner-up of the tournament.
A total of 11 schools (faculties) of CUSB participated in this tournament, in which all the teams played in the knockout format and reached the final. The closing ceremony started with the welcome speech of Assistant Professor Mrs. Renu, in which she welcomed all the dignitaries while emphasizing the importance of sports and healthy lifestyle. After this, Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh was honored by the organizing secretary Dr. Jitendra Pratap Singh. On this occasion, Dean Students Welfare (DSW) Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra, Proctor Prof. Pranav Kumar, Dean Prof. Rizwanul Haque, IQAC Coordinator Prof. Budhendra Singh along with professors from various departments and a large number of students were present. In the program, Karate demonstration was presented by Ayushi Arya and Kalyani, which was highly appreciated by the audience present. After this, a detailed report of the entire tournament was presented by Dr. Kishore Kumar. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Sudarshan, Assistant Professor, Psychology. The entire program was conducted by Sadhna Parashar, a student of Law.
