Students presented wonderful programs in the “Cultural Evening” organized at Maitreyi Sadan Girls Hostel of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). The program was organized under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh under the leadership of Chief Warden of Maitreyi Sadan, Lieutenant (Dr.) Pragya Gupta. In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh praised the excellent performance of the students. Speaking on leadership qualities, he said, "A true leader is one who knows the way, shows it and walks on it." The Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of having a clear vision and mission in life for success and excellence. Finally, he concluded his speech by wishing the students a bright future.

The aim of the programme was to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of India by providing a platform to the girl students to explore and hone their talents as well as to promote unity and cultural exchange within the hostel. The programme began with lighting of lamps followed by welcome address by Lt. (Dr) Pragya Gupta, Chief Warden of Maitreyi Sadan. Further, the girl students performed various cultural programmes including bhajans, folk songs, folk dances and ramp walk displaying traditional state costumes which enthralled the audience present at the venue and received huge applause.

Dr. Vikal Singh (Assistant DSW), Prof. R.A. Yadav, Dr. Pragya Gupta (Chief Warden, Maitreyi House), Dr. Renu (Chief Warden, Gargi House), Dr. Preeti Rai (Warden, Maitreyi House), Dr. Pratishtha Shonkar (Warden, Gargi House), Dr. Tarun Kumar Tyagi (Assistant Professor, Department of Teacher Education) etc. were present. The programme was beautifully conducted by Shreya and Isha Prakash. The cultural evening concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Preeti Rai (Warden, Maitreyi House). Thereafter, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the winners of various competitions and members of the hostel committee for their contribution to the hostel administration.
