Symposium on Entrepreneurship & Startups in Pharma and Pharmacy Practice – Encouraging Innovation, Incubation Centers, and Pharmaceutical Startups


On the occasion of National Pharmacy Education Day, the Department of Pharmacy, School of Health Sciences, successfully organized a Symposium on Entrepreneurship & Startups in Pharma and Pharmacy Practice under the banner of Pharmakon Club on March 6, 2025. The event was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, who extended his blessings and support for the symposium. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Ranjan Mistry, a renowned Indian Social Entrepreneur, Thinker, Educationist, Journalist, Mentor, and Researcher, who shared his insights on Entrepreneurship and Startups in the pharmaceutical sector. 


Prof. Dr. Amiya Priyam, Dean, School of Physical & Chemical Sciences, CUSB, delivered an engaging talk on Plasmonic & Luminescent Nanomaterials for Theranostic Applications. The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Vivek Dave, Head, Department of Pharmacy, followed by inspiring words of wisdom from Prof. Subrat Kr. Bhattamisra, Dean, School of Health Sciences.


The Organizing Committee included Dr. Gireesh Kr. Singh, Dr. Arun Kumar, and Dr. Bibhas C. Mohanta, who played a pivotal role in making the event a success. The Student Coordinators for the event were Gaurav Ranjan, Shashi Ranjan, Arumoy Brahma, and Shaon Mitra, who actively contributed to the smooth execution of the symposium. The symposium provided a platform to inspire young minds, encourage innovation in pharmacy, and discuss the future of pharmaceutical startups and incubation centers.
