Over 50 students from various departments of CUSB qualified for GATE 2025
Over fifty students from various departments of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have qualified in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2025 Examination conducted by the IIT-Roorkee in February 2025. CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Registrar Prof. Narendra Kumar Rana, heads and faculty members of the departments have congratulated the successful students. The Vice-Chancellor has also appreciated the efforts of the faculty members for their efficient mentorship and guidance given to the students.
A record 18 students from the Department of Biotechnology have qualified the national level GATE 2025 examination. Virat Vaibhav, Kalyani Singh, Nandini Shreya, Vaishali Kumari Madheshiya, Ekta Singh, Guddi Kumari and Deepa Singh (2023-25 M.Sc batch) cleared GATE 2025. Virat Vaibhav and Kalyani Singh cleared GATE 25 in Biotechnology as well in Life Science subject. Nisha Kumari, Diksha and Preetikana Malik of 2024-26 M.Sc batch also cleared GATE 2025. After a year gap, Prachi Prabha, Neha Kumari, Chandan Sahu, Saniya Haque, K. M. Sheetal and Soni Kumari of 2022-24 M.Sc batch as well as Ritesh Kumar and Shalini Vatsa of 2021-23 M.Sc batch cleared GATE 25. Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Head Department of Biotechnology congratulated the students and also stated that more number of student of our department are qualifying GATE and other similar competitive examination. He stressed on the fact that overall performance of the students can be improved more by reading textbook and reference book of biotechnology. Prof. Rizwanul Haque, Prof. Durg Vijai Singh, Dr. Nitish Kumar, Dr. Krishna Prakash. Dr. Jawaid Ahsan and Dr Pratistha Sonker congratulated the students for their achievement.
Seven Students of Department of Sociological Studies, School of Social Sciences and Policy, CUSB have qualified for GATE 2025 in sociology which was conducted by IIT Roorkee on February 2025. Name of students who have qualified for GATE 2025 are Swetank, Ananya Rajlakshmi and Manisha (Ph.D. Research scholars) along with Vedica Nandan, Abhishek Kumar Verma, Prem Prakash and Deepali Kumari are from MA Sociology (4th Semester). On this occasion, Faculty members of the Department- Prof. M. Vijay Kumar Sharma (Head), Prof. Anil Kumar Singh Jha, Dr. Sanat Kumar Sharma, Dr. Samapika Mohapatra, Dr. Jitendra Ram, Dr. Haresh Narayan Pandey, Dr. Parijat Pradhan, Dr. Priya Ranjan, Dr. Aditya Mohanty, Md. Ahmmedul Kabeer have congratulated students for this achievement.
From the department of Geology seven (07) students have qualified the prestigious eligibility test including Rudra Narayan Pattnaik, Roshan Kumar Dhirsamant, Rohit Mohanty, Arpita Dash, Vednidhi Bhardwaj, Kapil Choudhary and Abhishek Kumar Swansi. From the Department of Statistics, Hari Prapan, a student of Master in Data Science and Applied Statistics programme has qualified for GATE 2025. From the department of Psychological Sciences (04) students have qualified the test namely, Jyotirmayee Rath, Sruthy M, Anisha Krishnan and Pranjul Verma. In addition to these students, over a dozen students from various departments of CUSB have also qualified for GATE 2025.
