CUSB Team Runners Up in National Moot Court Competition organised by Institute of Law and Research, Faridabad
The team of BA LLB (Hons) students of School of Law and Governance (SLG) of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) won the runners up title in the National Moot Court Competition organized by Institute of Law and Research, Faridabad during March 28-29, 2025. The participating team of CUSB included Sawan Agarwal and Pratik Kumar as speakers. Pratik Kumar also worked as a researcher in the competition. The runner up team of CUSB was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5,100/- and a trophy by the organizer. On this achievement, CUSB Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Registrar Prof. Narendra Kumar Rana, DSW Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra, Dean and Head of SLG Prof. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Sanjay Prakash Srivastava etc. have congratulated and wished the team. Other faculty members of the department Prof. Pradeep Kumar Das, Dr. Surendra Kumar, Dr. Poonam Kumari, Dr. Dev Narayan Singh, Shri Mani Pratap, Dr. Pallavi Singh, Dr. Anant Prakash Narayan, Dr. Anurag Agarwal, Dr. Anuja Mishra, Dr. Kumari Neetu, Dr. Chandana Suba and Dr. Neha Shukla also congratulated and wished the team.
Law students from prestigious universities across the country participated in this program focused on criminal law. After qualifying various rounds, the team qualified for the semi-finals and then the finals and became the runner-up in the competition. Shri Mani Pratap (Assistant Professor), Coordinator of Moot Court Society, SLG has said that the entire competition was based on criminal law, trial, evidence etc. and the team has shown its ability in mooting, which will definitely keep the team leading in the future as well. Co-coordinators of the Moot Court Society, Dr. Kumari Neetu and Dr. Chandana Suba congratulated the team for being the runners-up in the competition. Student coordinator of the Moot Court Society, Mukund Kumar and other members of the society, Sumant Kumar, Naveen Maurya, Shri Vijay Laxmi and Aastha Gupta also congratulated the team.
