Celebration of Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar at CUSB, April 14, 2025
The Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated by CUSB, family on 14 April, 2025. On this occasion the School of Law and Governance (SLG) organized a special programme in collaboration with the SC/ST cell of the CUSB, UGC, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Legal Affairs and Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to the portrait of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar by CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh and other present at the venue. Prof. Ashok Kumar, Head and Dean of SLG and Nodal office of the programme welcomed all and shared some facts related to the great personality of Bhimrao Ambedkar.
VC Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh shared his views on this day. He said that, we all are equal and all should be treated equally. He also remembered the words of Dr. Ambedkar as; be educated, agitated and organized. Prof. Singh also encouraged the female students to take their studies more seriously and try to achieve their goals in life. He highlighted the struggles of Dr. Ambedkar in his life and ask everyone to learn from his life. With an equitable society only, we could achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat mentioned the Vice-Chancellor. The students delivered their speeches and recited poems based on the philosophy and contribution of Dr. Ambedkar to the society and the Constitution. At the end, the Programme Coordinator Dr. Poonam Kumari presented the vote of thanks. The programme was organised under the supervision of the Programme Director of the programme, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Das. Other faculty members who were present on the occasion included Dr. Jitendra Ram, Dr. Anurag Agarwal and Mrs. Renu etc. The programme was attended by Santosh Kumar, Karan Kumar, Mini, Ayush Kumar, Ramanand Raman, Swarnim, Riya and many other students.
