Experts discuss Rejuvenation through Yoga techniques at CUSB

Keeping in mind the multiple benefits of Yoga and its postures for a better health and fitness, the Department of Physical Education, Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has organised a two-day national webinar in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University during February 09-10,2021. The national webinar on the topic ‘ Rejuvenation through Yoga’ was kicked off under the mentorship of CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Harish Chandra Singh Rathore. Around 500 academicians including professors, researchers and students joined the national webinar. While chairing the inaugural session Prof. H C S Rathore talked about Yoga and its importance in day to day life. Prof. Jatin Soni, former Vice chancellor of Swarnim Gujarat Sports University as the chief guest of the webinar shared various aspects about the benefits of Yoga techniques (postures).
As the first speaker Prof. Rajeev Chaudhary from Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University talked on Rejuvenation through Yoga for providing us insight about how to recreate and redesign ourselves through yoga, he also talked about evaluation, origin in terms of prakriti and purusha and how the imbalance can lead to vikrity. He also informed about body layers, chakras and meditation. The second speaker of the day was Dr. Subodh Singh from UP College Varanasi, He gave us insight about Hath yoga and the ways of performing various asanas and pranayama, and what precautions needed to be taken. The third speaker Dr. Shridip Chatterjee talked on Yoga –Mind Body Medicine he talked about various layers of organization along with science of self-realization. He also explained the traditional view of chitta, vriti and nirudha. He also talked about the concept of illness and the holistic approach of yoga.
Earlier, Dr. Ashish Kumar Singh, Head of Department of Physical Education welcomed all the guests and speakers and enlightened them about the webinar. Prof. Kaushal Kishor, Dean Schools of Education addressed the webinar and highlighted various aspects of Yoga. Organizing secretary Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh alongwith the organizing committee members Dr. Usha Tiwari, Dr. Rahul Singh, Dr. Pintu Lal Mondal, Mr. Mesanguto. Meru and Assistant Director Dr. Jitendra Pratap Singh made the first day of the webinar successful.
