About the School
\Welcome to the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences. The School is uniquely placed to conduct interdisciplinary teaching and research activities in Physical and Chemical Sciences. The Departments of this School offer M.Sc (two year)
and Ph.D. programmes in Physics and Chemistry. The Departments of Physics and Chemistry are also going to offer from 2022-23 session Integrated B.Sc. M.Sc Dual Degree programmes of five years duration in Physics and Chemistry for the +2 students. The
School is also offering undergraduate programmes from 2022-23 academic session. All these academic programmes are designed in the light of National Education Policy 2020. All the Departments have distinguished faculty and excellent laboratory and Computational
facilities. There are more than 20 research scholars engaged in frontline areas of research. A high percentage of M.Sc. students of the School have qualified National Level Tests, UGC-CSIR, NET and GATE which stands as testimony for the quality of teaching
and research. The students and researchers of the school routinely use the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) and University Library. The Department of Physics and Chemistry have sophisticated research equipment and these are extensively used for
teaching and research. The faculty members of the School have attracted funding for research from various National and International Agencies and Industries.

Dr. Venktesh Singh is a Professor of Physics with interest in teaching nuclear, high energy heavy-ion physics, and astrophysics and current research interest on understanding of low and intermediate energy neutrino and physics beyond the standard model of particle physics. Actively engaged in national and international experimental research collaborations with a team of mentors and students, and in updating knowledge of alumni across all batches passed out from 2020 onwards.
