Anti-Terrorism Pledge taken by CUSB family

Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) family observed the Anti-Terrorism Day on Friday, May 21, 2021. As per the directions received from the Ministry of Education, GOI, the University organised a special event through online mode. The Vice-Chancellor of CUSB Prof. H.C.S. Rathore and Registrar Col. Rajiv Kumar Singh joined the programme along with the faculty members, officials and staff of the University.
The programme started with the brief address of Vice-Chancellor who expressed his concern for the employees and their families affected by Covid-19. He wished speedy recovery for all the Covid-19 positive members of CUSB family. Further he suggested the employees to keep themselves confined at their homes and take the vaccine of Covid-19 at the earliest to avoid the infection.
Further the Registrar Col. Singh informed that very soon the University would conduct Covid-19 vaccination drive for the University employees and their families within CUSB premises. The programme concluded with the Anti-Terrorism Pledge Administrated by Registrar in which the participants said, “ We, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country’s tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to upload and promote peace, social harmony, and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.”
It should be noted that Anti-Terrorism Day is celebrated across the country on 21st May in memory of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi who was killed by the terrorists on 21st May 1992. On this day the people across the country take the vow to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence.
