Institution Animal Ethics Committee
The Institution Animal Ethics Committee was constituted with the aim to ensure compliance with ethical and legal guidelines for use of animals in laboratory studies. All the proposals involving use of animals/birds are subject to scrutiny by the committee to see that the animals do not suffer unnecessary pain before or during the experiments and that disposal of animals is also performed in accordance with CPCSEA guidelines.
The committee conducts meetings on quarterly basis and works towards promotion and training of ethical practices in maintenance and use of laboratory animals.
