Four-day Workshop on Art & Craft by Dept. of Teacher Education, December 12-15, 2023
Art is a multifaceted phenomenon, serving as a reflection of our innermost emotions and the world around us. It instills the feelings of joy, peacefulness and relieves from sorrow and day to day stress. It portrays abstract emotions and feeling of human beings before others in an effective way and diminishes all the boundaries based on religion, caste, creed and race. These statements were made by Hon’ble Vice chancellor, CUSB Prof. Kameshawar Nath Singh in the inaugural session of Four day Workshop on Art & Craft entitled “अभिव्यक्ति: सांस्कृतिक संलयन” organized by Department of Teacher Education in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council, Central University of South Bihar from 12 Dec. to 15 Dec. 2023. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Swati Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Teacher Education, Central University of South Bihar.
The workshop aimed to enrich the prospective teachers (B.A. B.Ed. & B.Sc. B.Ed. I Semester Students) with artistic skills, creating a bridge of understanding and feeling of oneness. This workshop was showered by the blessings of Hon’ble Vice chancellor Sir, Dean of School of Education Prof. Ravikant, Dr. Poonam Kumari (Lecturer, Art and Craft, College of Teacher Education, Gaya) and other faculty members Dr. Kishor, Dr. Hassan, Dr. Renu and Dr. Nrapendra vir Singh. This programme began with exhibiting of the posters made by the students followed by the technical sessions where students were made aware with different ways of converting a still in a realistic piece of art by shading. The sessions of the first day were ended with vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and to the expert.
