Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh

Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh is the 3rd Vice Chancellor of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Gaya. Prior to joining CUSB, Prof. Singh was Vice-Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prayagraj and Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University, Prayagraj. He completed his graduation, post-graduation and PhD from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. He started his academic career at the same University where he also worked as Head of the department of Geography. He has been the founder Director of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Research Foundation at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. Prof. Singh has about 32 years of rich professional experience in different aspects of teaching, research, administration, training as well as major research projects formulations, both national and international. He has supervised 18 Ph.D. students and one post-doctoral fellow.
Prof. Singh has worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of Geography and Institute for Development Research and Development Policy at Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany for one year in a joint research project titled ‘Urban fringe study of Indian and German cities’ sponsored by DAAD. He has conducted extensive field survey in different parts of Germany as well as the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg under the guidance of Late Prof. K. H. Hottes, Director, Institute of Geography and Institute of Development Studies, Germany. Prof. Singh has contributed mainly in the field of environment, regional development and value education. He has more than seventy publications to his credit in the form of research papers and policy papers etc. He is the author of 17 books and is currently working on his upcoming book entitled ‘Geography of India: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow’. He has served as Vice President of the National Association of Geographers of India (NAGI) and at present he is the President of the Association of North Indian Geographers of which he was previously General Secretary for almost 20 years.

Prof. Singh has a vast experience of teaching and research spanning over 20 years. Prior to joining this University, he served the Department of Physics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi as Assistant and Associate Professor of Physics since 2005. Before joining Banaras Hindu University, he was in the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, and Taipei, Taiwan as Postdoctoral Fellow and in the Physics Department, Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), Opton, NY (USA) as visiting research fellow. He was the Guest Scientist at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL), Batavia, and Chicago (USA) for short period. He is an awardees of JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow (Osaka, Japan) and International Fellows of FNAL, Chicago (USA). He has successfully supervised 09 PhD theses and ~30 Master dissertations and has more than 300 publications in SCI journals with 7 completed and 3 running projects in his bag. He is actively collaborating in NOvA, DUNE, GEMMA DARK (USA), TEXONO (Taiwan), LEGEND (Germany), and CDEX (China).

Dr. Singh has more than 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience. His specialization is in area of experimental condensed mater physics. He is a recipient of Dr. D.S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship and Individual grant from Foundation of Science and Technology, Govt. of Portugal. He is dedicated to explore nanoscale phenomena by investigating domain structures, switching processes in organic/inorganic crystals, ceramics, films, fibers and composites. He has to his credit more than 60 research articles published in refereed SCI journals/edited books.

Dr. Shakti P Pattanayak is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, School of Health Science, CUSB, Gaya. Before Joining to CUSB, he worked for 13 years at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi and also as a postdoctoral researcher at Faculty of Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He received the prestigious PBC award from Ministry of Higher Education, Israel at Jerusalem and DST support for his research work at San Francisco, USA. Dr. Ram Pratap Singh is Associate Professor of Life Science at the Central University of South Bihar. The primary focus of Dr. Singh’s research is to understand the Physiology and genetics of birds and other animals. His major research interests include the reproductive biology of birds, especially rare and endangered species, mitigating infertility, developing assisted reproductive technologies, gamete cryopreservation, avian forensics, genome resource banking, avian genomics, etc.

Dr. Singh is an Assistant Professor in Department of Law & Governance, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya (Bihar). He has been a teacher of law at Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur and Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. He has been teaching Intellectual Property Law to under graduate and postgraduate students since last six years. He is a recipient of Doctoral Fellow from Indian Council of Social Sciences Research, New Delhi to undertake his Doctoral Research at Banaras Hindu University. Besides intellectual property laws he undertakes teaching of Property Law, Labour and Industrial Laws and Jurisprudence.

Dr. Jaiswal has Specialization in Organizational Behavior, Social Psychology and Health Psychology. Prior to joining CUSB in December 2015, she has worked as an administrator in Rajasthan administrative services (2011-2015). He has also worked as an assistant professor (2009-2011) in Delhi NCR including I.P. College, BRAC Of University of Delhi. Apart from UGC NET- JRF, she was a recipient of Gold Medal in M.Phil. and Best Officer” Pen of Honor” award in RAS- 2011 Batch, Government of Rajasthan. She was also a National player of Basketball and has cleared NCC ‘C’ certificate. She has presented research paper in various national and international conferences including International Congress of Psychology (ICP2020) Prague, Czech Republic. Six-research publication in UGC-CARE listed journals including International Journal of Psychology (Scopus journal by Willey).
