MSW students of CUSB visited Mummy Ji Trust

The students of 1st and 3rd semester of MSW programme of Department of Sociology of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) visited Mummy Ji Educational Charitable Trust at Bodh Gaya. As a part of the field work included in the MSW curriculum, the students visited the trust under the guidance of Head of the Department Prof. M. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Prof. Anil Kumar Singh Jha, Dr. Aditya Mohanty and Dr. Haresh Narayan Pandey. The faculty members of CUSB addressed the children of the institution one by one and took information about their activities.

Further, during the visit, MSW students of Sociology Department came across various facts of Mummy Ji Educational Charitable Trust. They learned that Mummy ji came to Bodh Gaya about 15 years ago to have the darshan of Lord Buddha and with the help of the regional people, she is working with commitment to serve the poor, uneducated and problem-stricken people. Mummy Ji is a voluntary organization established in 2015 in Bodhgaya, Bihar. Dr. Jenny Perry i.e. Mummy ji is the director and Shri Munna Paswan ji is its director secretary. Mummy ji and Munna ji are working to provide free education, computer education, sewing, embroidery and beautification education to the children of the institute from nursery to class 10. Apart from this, this organization is providing free training in sewing, embroidery, beautification, computer, sports, karate etc. to the poor and exploited girls and women. These trusts provide assistance to some children to study in another institution. This organization is running allopathic mobile clinics for the poor in the villages of Gaya district and provides assistance to deserving children with disabilities in different ways. Mummy Ji Trust is also successfully running a boarding school for 150 children in Bodhgaya. Mummy Ji Trust provides free food, dress, education, health materials etc. to the boarding school children.

The CUSB team showed willingness to positively adopt the activities of Mummy Ji Trust in their lives. Meanwhile, Head of the Department, Prof. M. Vijay Kumar Sharma, on behalf of the Department and the University, thanked the family members of Mummy Ji Trust for all the commendable support given for the field work.
