Pro Bono Club of CUSB ran awareness campaign at Kewali Higher Secondary School

An awareness campaign was run by the Pro-Bono Club run by the Ministry of Law and Justice at the School of Law and Governance (SLG), Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) at Kewali Higher Secondary School on January 31, 2024. Under the ambitious ‘Campus for Community” campaign of CUSB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, the programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Deo Narayan Singh, Nodal Officer of Pro Bono Club. In the program, the students of Pro Bono Club created awareness about various issues like right to education, dowry ban, domestic violence and also discussed important topics like menstruation. The main objective of this campaign was to make the school students aware of important issues in the society. Generally there is a lack of awareness on these issues in the villages. and the students of Pro Bono Club showed determination to complete it.

 

The students participating in the debate discussed the issues of prosperity, educatiStudents of Pro Bono Club demonstrated the social issues with the help of street drama educating children about right and wrong touching. Nukkad Natak was conducted under the direction of Club student Ranjan, which included Tanisha, Riya, Smriti, Mini, Himanshu, Shubhanshu, Babul, Nimmi, Maanvi, Mamtesh, Vaishnavi, Muskaan and Sharbani from Pro Bono Club. Along with this, Pro Bono Club members also demonstrated examples of wrong and right touch to make it easier for people to understand.on, and equality in the society. Special attention was focused on the importance of girls’ rights and girls’ right to education. Along with their aspirations for prosperity, students also reflected on the need to improve access to education for girls. The participants considered the means of social research and empowerment to maintain equality in the society. The students also told that girls should have the right to higher status and freedom in the society, and for this it is necessary to take steps in the right direction for prosperity, education, and equality in the society.

 

Pro Bono Club student Diksha told in detail about menstruation to the girls of Kewali High School, while Ananya Kumari talked about issues like domestic violence. Muskaan, Anjali, Deepanjali and Manvi made students aware about dowry system and their right to education. Kiran Kumari, Principal of Kewali Higher Secondary School and teachers also participated in the campaign. The campaign not only increased the awareness of the school students but also created a harmonious and powerful spirit among the youth community.
