Prof. K. Shiva Shankar

My research focus has been on print journalism and Public Relations. Published research and review papers on wide ranging topics concerning the public relations and the print media and print journalism. The aspects like the status and future of print media, print media in post-Covid era, advent of digital media and e-editions and their impact on print media, diversity in content and content monetization, changing face of print medium were part of my research focus. I strive to present the latest trends in print media through my research.

Similarly, the public relations as practice and profession is also one more important area of my research. I dwelt into the aspects like the changing face of public relations in digital era and the relevance and efficacy of public relations in different settings formed part of my research highlights. Four out of six research scholars, who were guided by me, have also got their doctoral degrees awarded, did their research on topics relevant to these areas. The publication of chapters, organizing seminars on Public Relations in Digital Era to promote research-based papers and their presentations in these areas.
