Prof. Ashok Kumar

Professor Kumar has professional experience as an author, researcher, teacher, policy maker and administrator and has made significant contributions to the growth and expansion of multiple horizons of academic in Universities. Professor Kumar has been instrumental in institutionalizing legal research publication in Universities. He has successfully guided 105 Ph.Ds./M.Phil./P.G. research scholars.

Publications

Prof. Kumar has authored fifteen books and more than fifty research /Policy papers. He is the Editor of two prestigious international journals: Journal of Law and Public Policy and CUSB Journal of Law and Governance. He is also worked as Chairman/Convener, Board of Studies, School for Legal Studies at of M.J.P.Rohilkhand University, Bareilly.

Prof. Kumar has vast experience of being a resource person and has conducted training programmes/ workshops on Gender Sensitization and ‘Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace’ ands, PCS Officers, Doordarshan & All India Radio (AIR) etc. He has participated and presented papers more than 100 National and International Conference, Seminars and workshop. He has various International academic Collaboration with many countries like South Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia etc. His areas of interests include Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Human Rights, Media Law, RTI, Child Rights, Women Rights and Copyright Law.

Prof. Kumar is also appointed as Judicial Magistrate First Class/Member, CWC by Government of Uttar Pradesh. Prof. Kumar is Member of Executive Council and Academic Council of M.J.P.Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. He is also holding the position of Legal Advisor /Nodal Officer at M.J.P.Rohilkhand University, Bareilly advice the University on various issues related to Law, Governance and University Administration.

He is a member of the Various Advisory and Editorial Board in National and International Journals and an external expert in the various State and Central Universities. He is a member of Executive Committee of SRNCT, Lucknow. He has been a member of various committees/selection committees of Universities, Public Service Commissions.

As a distinguished academician and policy maker, Prof. Kumar has played a key role as a member-designate for several policies making at M.J.P.Rohilkhand University. He is also serves as Master Trainer, IPR-NIPAM, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
