Students of media department of CUSB conducted awareness campaign at Fatehpur High School
The students of the Department of Mass Communication and Media of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) conducted a special awareness campaign at the upgraded high school Fatehpur near the university campus on November 08, 2023. Under the ‘Campus for Community’ campaign of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, this program was organized under the supervision of the Dean and Head of the Department Prof. K. Shivshankar.
The team of students of MA Mass Communication (Session 2022-24) of Media Department included Tooba Rehman, Sheelu Ragini and Aditi Singhal. After talking to the school principal and other teachers, the CUSB team met the girl students. The team shared important information related to health and cleanliness with the school girls.
In the programme, special discussions were held on handwashing technique, nutritious and balanced diet, good touch and bad touch, yoga, and menstruation. To encourage school girls to talk openly about their menstruation, a team of CUSB girl students played a game to encourage them to talk openly. In the question-answer session, school girls were encouraged and advised to express their views without any hesitation. Head of the Department, Prof. K. Shivshankar expressed his gratitude towards the Principal of the school for his cooperation in making the program a success.
