Field Visit of MSW students to Sudha Dairy Gaya
The MSW students of Department of Sociological Studies, School of Social Sciences and Policy, Central university of South Bihar (CUSB) made a field work visit to Sudha Dairy (Magadh Dugdh Sahkari Sangh Ltd, Gaya) on Friday (22nd September, 2023).
Mr. K P S Yadav Managing Director ( MD) has given us one day prior permission for this visit. The students get exposure to various units of this plant such as cooling, mixing and filtering, addition of flavouring, cold storage of milk etc. in the visit. He has discussed history of Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation in general and also history, vision, mission and role of community participation at the village level for milk procurement in Sudha Dairy, in particular. He also informed us that such kinds of 9 different units have been working in various parts like Gaya, Muzzafarpur, Samastipur, Supaul, etc in entire Bihar. He focused on the role of women SHG in surrounding villgaes and importance of social workers in functioning and processing of milk and dairy technology in the grass-rout levels in Bihar.
Mr Pradeep Kumar, Sudha Dairy Executive, Gaya has accompanied all the students today in Dairy Plant. In this visit Prof M Vijay Kumar Sharma, Head of the Department accompanied students to Sudha Dairy Plant, Gaya with the other faculty members Dr Jitendra Ram, Dr Haresh Narayan Pandey and Dr Parijat Pradhan.
