For research in the field of environment CUSB signs a MoU with BSPCB

The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bihar State Pollution Control Board (BSPCB) for carrying out research activities in the field of environment. The MoU was signed on the approval of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh between the Registrar Col. Rajiv Kumar Singh and BSPCB member secretary Mr. S. Chandrasekar. On this occasion, along with Registrar Col. Rajiv Kr. Singh from CUSB Prof. Pradhan Parth Sarthi (Dean, SEBES) Prof. Rakesh Kumar (Biotechnology) and Mr. Kumar Kaushal (Deputy Registrar, Academics) were present during the MoU signing ceremony.

The MoU will facilitate bilateral cooperation on environmental research and development between the two institutes. This will also include faculty and scientist exchange, joint training opportunities, and the exchange of the academic research, materials, equipment, samples, digital records and data. Both the institutions will provide each other with access to their field areas, libraries and laboratories with minimal conditions.

Prof. Pradhan Parth Sarthi said the MoU will also help assess how Met variables like wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity and rainfall were modulating air pollutants and affecting climatic conditions of Bihar. He said the MoU will help in doing research and development on the role of air pollutants on weather and climate prediction over Bihar and also benefit the BSPCB, which did not have expertise on how meteorological conditions were affecting the fate of air pollutants over Bihar. BSPCB will supply the necessary data to the CUSB for conducting collaborative research, students’ internship, exchange of scientists and joint supervision PhD.
