NCERT grants research project to Dr. Ravindra Kumar for promoting Innovative Practices in Education

The research proposal entitled ‘Effect of Socio-cognitive Approach based Activities on Writing Skill of Middle School Studentssubmitted by Dr. Ravindra Kumar and Prof. Ravi Kant from Dept. of Teacher Education of CUSB has been selected by NCERT New Delhi for research grant. In this research project Dr. Kumar will act as the project director and Prof. Kant will give his valuable input as Co-director. During the conduction of research Dr. Kumar will developed a package which will be useful for developing writing skill in terms of macro-organization, productivity, accuracy, fluency and lexical diversity among middle school students. 

Dr. Ashutosh Prabhakar, a research scholar of the department and recently appointed at Rameshwar Middle School, Salempur, Tikari, Gaya, Bihar Government will work on the project entitled ‘Effectiveness of teaching of mathematics students at elementary level’. The impact of the spatial interference model on the spatial logic of engagement will be studied. Researcher Ashutosh Prabhakar prepared this project proposal under the guidance of his research supervisor Dr. Ravindra Kumar. Through the project, Dr. Kumar will prepare an activity-based instructional package to develop linguistic productivity, lexical organization, lexical accuracy, linguistic fluency and lexical diversity in students and study its effectiveness.

The research project proposal submitted is as per NCERT. Satisfied all the criteria of the subject expert committee and ultimately Dr. Kumar, Prof. Kant and Prabhakar were selected for the award for project proposals for 2023-24 to promote innovative methods and experiments in education. NCERT.
