Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated four school buildings of CUSB worth Rs. 100 crore through video conferencing on 20th February, 2024

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of four school buildings of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, through video conferencing. During the foundation stone laying ceremony through video conferencing, Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education; Skill Development and Entrepreneurship were present along with Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, MP of Aurangabad at CUSB campus. Live streaming of the video conference was held in the Vivekananda Auditorium of the University under the supervision of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, which was attended by the Deans of various schools, Heads of Departments, faculty members, officers, staff and students. Arrangements for live webcasting of the foundation stone laying ceremony were also made in the computer laboratory of Aryabhatta Bhawan, Chanakya Bhawan, Central Library and University Hostel. After the foundation stone laying ceremony, VC Prof. K. N. Singh greeted Hon’ble MP Shri Sushil Kumar Singh and his wife by giving them a bouquet of flowers. The Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude for the continuous support given to the University by the MP of the area Shri Sushil Kumar. In his address, MP Shri Sushil Kumar Singh said that it is a matter of pride for me that this university is situated in my parliamentary constituency and it is setting new standards day-by-day. I have been associated with this university since its inception and I have full hope that it will achieve new heights in the coming days as a prestigious university of the country. The program was compered and the vote of thanks was presented by Registrar Col. Rajiv Kumar Singh.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor said that a grant of about Rs 100 crore (Rs 999498186) has been given to CUSB for the construction of four buildings. Under the third phase, four school buildings will be constructed, including School of Law & Governance at the cost of Rs. 271669723, School of Physical & Chemical Sciences at the cost of Rs. 293804972, School of Business Studies & Management at the cost of Rs. 236592549 and School of Health Science at the cost of Rs. 197430941. The grant has been given to CUSB for the financial year 2023-24 to the financial year 2025-26, and a MoU has been already signed between CUSB and CPWD for construction of buildings.

Presently the University operates with three school buildings namely (i) School of Earth, Biological and Environmental Sciences – Building (Aryabhata Bhawan) (ii) School of Social Sciences and Policy – Building (Chanakya Bhawan) and (iii) School of Education (Malviya Bhawan). Apart from this, Vivekananda Lecture Hall, Administrative Building, Sangharam Guest House, Madhuvan Cafeteria, Open Gymnasium, Boys and Girls Hostel, Milkha Singh Sports Complex in the university provide a more grand appearance to the university. The lush green campus of the university spread over 300 acres makes it attractive along with the smooth conduct of academic activities in a serene environment.
