Viskit Bharat @ 2047 by Maitreyi Sadan Girls Hostel and NCC Unit of CUSB

Maitreyi Sadan Girls hostel and NCC unit of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Gaya organised a speech competition on the theme Viksit Bharat @2047 ‘Mere Sapno ka Bharat’ on the initiative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bharat VIKSIT BHARAT @2047 on December 24, 2023.  In this competition, NCC cadets and residents of Maitreyi Sadan participated enthusiastically and shared their vision for VIKSIT Bharat @2047 with the ideas to achieve it. The programme began with the lightening of the lamp followed by a welcome address by Chief Warden Maitreyi Sadan and Associate NCC Officer CUSB, Lt. Pragya Gupta. 

Further, the students shared their views Ayush priyadarshi said that we should not envision Viksit Bharat only the parameters of per capita income and GDP but we have to focus on sustainable development as well as the character development of youth.Abhimanyu emphasized providing quality education to all to address the issues of the 21st century to all getting good health, employment and achieving the parameters of a developed country. Further Chanda Kr. Yadav emphasized e-governance, and more responsive governance and strengthened the defense system by providing basic military education to the youth compulsorily which will instill discipline and diligence.

Himanshu focused more on duties rather than rights. Tej Sharma and Priyanshu Saha talked about character-building and self-reliance for agriculture production. Ravish Prasad expounded that being a Bhartiya VIKSIT BHARAT should regain our glorious past which is knowledge super-power. This development should not only be in terms of money and military power but also a center where the world may expect solutions to global problems. The onus is on youth and teachers too.

Anjali Mishra gave her example to manage the stress reading ‘Shrimad Geeta’ heeled her wonderfully. So some parts of epics should be part of our curriculum for quality life. We should adopt the practices to make an education system where we get more options for vocational education rather than all being forced to do higher education like BA, B SC etc. Education should be designed in such a way that produces job creators rather than job seekers.

And lastly, Banaja Priyadarshini showed her concerns about environmental deterioration. So, for sustainable development, we have to focus on mindful consumption of plastic and minimize the use of plastic as much as possible.   

In this competition Cadet Ravish Prasad and hostel Anjali Mishra are winners. Banaja Priyadarshini and Abhimanyu got the consolation prize.  On this occasion Dr, Sudhanshu Jha, Head of the Department of History, Prof. Kiran Kumari Hostel coordinator, and Head of the Department of Geography. And   Dr. Kishore Kumar was the jury member.  On this occasion Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra, Nodal Officer Viksit Bharat Campaign, CUSB addressed the participants and said that after listening to the participants I am ensured that CUSB is on the right track on the progress for VIKSIT Bharat. Because their thoughts are judicious blend of Indian Culture, values, ethos and morden development.    He also made aware students of the Gov. Portal where the students may share their views and win prizes.

The Program was coordinated by Garima Shukla and Arshi Khan. Program was anchored by Shweta Ranjan and Aditi. The competition was ended with a vote of thanks given by Dr. Chandana Suba residential warden of Maitreyi Sadan.
